There were several instances in the Villa game of more than one defender going for the same aerial ball. Sometimes we won it, sometimes we didn't but even if you do win it, there's at least one defender out of position. |  | |  |

I noticed that. From memory it seemed to be O'Shea often going for the ball that wasn't really in his area. |  |

The question is, how do the players react vs Everton. I think we have half a decent Premier League side right now, and it is up to the other half to step up and show they are worthy of playing at this level. |  |

This is a fair point, and shows that McKenna was entirely right to refer to West Ham being direct, and us finding that hard to deal with. |  | |  |

I'm very surprised by that. I think we really missed Axel and am not convinced by Johnson so far (although mindless abuse is never justified of course). I'm very happy to be shown to be wrong on this, but I certainly didn't have any preconceptions of him or biases. Hopefully he'll step up in Axel's absence.
