He looked different quality in L1, looked like a top championship midfielder last year, now regularly making PL midfielders look average. He's continually putting in a 7/10 performance and looks so at home in the Prem.
We've looked overrun in one game this season where Beleba had him but apart from that he's looked so so good.
The midfield he was up against probably helped last night as no one really got near him. It's almost like stopping Sam Morsy from dictating play was one of the crucial elements that Amorim didn't have time to either notice or implement in his few days leading up to the game.
Absolutely right though, he's just incredible. I feel it's almost a bit of an indictment on his previous managers that he's never got to this level before, it's still baffling that Boro didn't want him.
Makes you wonder where he’d be if a decent coach got hold of him 5 years ago and he had a shot in the premier league at a younger age. He’s been one of the cornerstones of our success and I really hope he stays at the club beyond his playing days although I wouldn’t blame him for going and doing a few years in Saudi to set him up financially for life
