Hutch’s goal and a couple of minor petty gripes 10:37 - Dec 31 with 1230 views | mikeybloo88 | Watching the replay from behind the goal I noticed that only he and Broady broke forward when Liam intercepted that pass...no one else was even in their half when he scored. I only mention this because I think I remember on MOTD recently them highlighting a similar situation for Fulham vs Chelsea where they broke and had six men in the box by the end. Also highlighting how many runners Liverpool have on fast breaks. I know we’ve played some top teams recently but I wonder if KM is getting a little more pragmatic and reining in our attacking instincts a bit more overall now? Morsy had a great game but completely switched off for the Felix no goal. Lief- awful pass in his one penalty area to a marked colleague instead of hoofing clear. Inconsequential in the end, but still things to work on, and it was a great determined performance.
Hutch’s goal and a couple of minor petty gripes on 10:41 - Dec 31 with 1122 views | FrimleyBlue | Don't forget the pass from chelsea was halfway inside their own half, so for us to get players upto the box it would have taken a lot of running and possibly lead to losing the ball and having no one back. We kept ourselves very organised for a whole 90 minutes which I loved, and we just allowed players to attack as and when it was required, there were times towards the end we even had phillips in the opposition half with sammy back in ours, so lots of rotation going on to make sure we had players well back.

Hutch’s goal and a couple of minor petty gripes on 11:00 - Dec 31 with 937 views | _clive_baker_ | If you're waiting for a perfect performance you'll be waiting a while. Not least when we're playing one of the top sides in Europe, who are also trying to win the game. Their central / attacking midfielder trio of Caicedo, Enzo and Palmer cost over £260m combined. £260 million! On 3 players. We don't have a right to beat Chelsea 2-0. I don't think we particularly lacked in getting bodies forward to support attacks though, Broadhead, Delap and Hutchinson were full of running throughout, and given we had something to defend from the 11th minute we were inevitably a little more pragmatic at times. Morsy I thought was excellent in front of the defence, he broke up a lot and a constant menace against a very good side. Cajuste played very well too. Getting Phillips into this team is the biggest headache KM has now I think, the fact Morsy is keeping him out is testament to how well he's doing.
