Crystal Palace Away Ticket Sale 'Profile' 10:54 - Feb 7 with 2175 views | tommcd | The Crystal Palace Away fixture first sold-out around 10:15 today (25+ Window), a few seats rattled around for 30mins or so but it appears to be actually sold-out by around 10:45. So the Ticket Sales 'Profile' for the fixture will be as below. Summary The Club announced an allocation of 2687 tickets had been provided, total seat-map count matched this. The seat-map suggests 58 wheelchair + companion spaces, 268 seats unavailable for purchase (estimated 54 for the Ballot, 214 retained by the club and/or for steward seating). There were therefore 2361 seats made available for sale in 'points-based' sales windows. 2040 (86.40% of available seats) seats sold in the 30+ window. 321 (13.60%) seats sold in the 25+ window. Points of note: * Sales in the 30+ Window exceeded 2000 for the time this season. * Growth in 30+ sales continues at around the same rate as it has over the past 5/6 sales (excluding Coventry). * This is the first sale not to make it to 20+ since the small allocation of Brentford, the combination of a lower then usual allocation and upwards migration being the likely contributory factors. * Selhurst Park has the highest number of restricted-view seats in the away section so far this season at 384 seats (or 16% of available-to-purchase seats). * First away fixture of the season (if I remember correctly) with an element of digital ticketing. * Bournemouth Sale coming up soon/next (depending on FA Cup progression), looks like their usual visitors allocation is 1318 (so about 1100 would be expected to be available in points-based-sales), what will the Club do? Introduce new Windows (would likely need 35+ and 40+ windows as sales-stats would suggest there's probably already around 1500-1600 members at 35+)? Invite only? Free-for-all with the existing Windows? APP only takes into account the previous season & the current season. & yeah I’d imagine the only way it doesn’t become a closed shop is if they up the ballot allocation. 2% seems very low to me anyway.

Yes, I think the ballot probably needs to go up to 5% at least. Currently away priority includes points for last season and this one, so the Championship points will drop off at the end of the season. With fewer away matches and obviously more appealing fixtures this season though, there are going to be a couple of thousand fans who have been to virtually every away match. Will be interesting to see if Bournemouth tickets all go on sale in one window as that must be coming up soon....

APPs are accumulated over the current and past seasons (plus 5 points for being a member in each season). Last season (23/24) there were 25 APP-earning matches (23 Championship, 1 League Cup, 1 FA Cup). So the maximum anyone could have started this season (24/25) with would be 35 (23 Championship, 1 League Cup, 1 FA Cup, 10 membership). This season (24/25) 15 APP-earning matches have been 'sold' to date (14 Premier League, 1 League Cup, Coventry in the FA Cup didn't earn an APP). So including the 10 APPs you accumulate each season for being a member, I think the max points total anyone could be on at this stage is 50. The maximum anyone could reach at season end (assuming no more APP for Cup fixtures) would be 55. At the beginning of next season (25/26), unless the rules change, the Championship (23/24 season) APPs will be discarded. So the absolute maximum APP total anyone could begin the 25/26 season on would be 30 (19 Premier League, 1 League Cup, 10 membership). The numbers starting on 30 will be capped at an absolute maximum equivalent to the Bournemouth allocation (only 1100 or so high-pointers will have opportunity to earn an APP there, and without the Bournemouth APP the theoretical maximum they could achieve would be 29). Fingers-crossed I got my numbers right above!

I'd imagine they will need to introduce a new tier as more people on 30+APPs than tickets available, otherwise it's going to be absolute carnage on the day they are released.

My lad has been to every game so far this season and intends to keep it going the entire season, he will be gutted if he cannot get a Bournemouth ticket, or any other for that matter, he put all last seasons tickets along with the first team shirt in a picture frame and hopes to do the same at the end of this season as well.

It'll be a shame when they get rid of paper tickets, I've got them stuck round a door frame - they've all got memories attached to them. I've got paper tickets from 1990 onwards....it's funny looking back at the price of tickets back then!
