Semi-automatic offsides, good if they can speed the process up. That's the main benefit. In general, anything to speed process up will be good. Had meetings and promise was that the process will be speeded up.

FA Cup, nice distraction in some ways, chance for different questions in the presser! Chance to rotate side, look at different players not playing regularly. Enjoying competition, looking forward to Forest.

Important to see players on fringes playing, but see those things in trainigng first, such as Jack Clarke. Chance to see Jaden start on right-hand side, beneficial to be able to do that in a competitive match. Chance to play a team from a level below. Know the team we've been and can be again but how far we've moved on. Showed progress we've made, which not always easily seen in PL matches.

Boost for people at club. Needed? Not really, won't impact going to Villa, just a reminder everyone ready.

Alex Palmer did well, up and running, perfect game for him to come into. Possibility he'll start, strengthens that department. Options we want and pick for games.

Good team performance at home to Villa, day we enjoyed. Playing against Villa at PR and getting a point was a really good day for club and hopefully another. Step up again at Villa Park, they've strengthened.

Liam one of the boys, popular, funny, one of the lads. But with it attitude to work and get better. Brings his personality like other lads but want to improve themselves and the team.

Villa a team through to the knockout stage of the Champions League, top manager, strong squad, added to it, tactiacl similarities, have looked at that in phases of the game over the last couple of years. One we're looking forward to.

Can face good atmospheres in PL, Anfield one of most hostile. Lots of experience of that this year. Have to manage crowds, going to be spells where the opposition have them behind them. Learnt lessons, we're not perfect but have to go with bravery and impose yourself and take crowd away from home team, which we've done this season.

Emery a top manager, lots to admire, thorough work, which you can see from how thorough his team is in all phases of the game. See hallmarks of his Villarreal side in Villa.

Marcus Rashford at best would be addition to any team. Boys faced him with Man United, I've seen him at his best and know what a good player he is. We know we'll probably face him at some stage. They've a really deep squad. You're going to face a strong front four at the start and a different front four later on.

Enjoyed working with Marcus Rashford, knew him from the time KMc joined MUFC as academy coach. A big talent. Hopefully this will be a big move for him in terms of getting back into form, but not Saturday.

Chaplin, few little setbacks with MCL injury. Can get to end of rehab and a few movements can stir it up. Had different treatments this week and hopefully back next week.

Winter form in three seasons, something you can look at? We're aware of, spoke to the group about, something we're going to show as we come out of it. No coincidence how the last two seasons were when you climb quickly, you can draw similarities in first-half of season where a lot was drawn out of the players, did that over the last couple of seasons and then come through Jan with injuries and players coming in, when you're promoted need strengthening but period of settling in. It's about working through that and being consistent in your belief. Went from those runs, then went on very strong runs. Not going to win nine out of 10 in Premier League, but shown working in consistent manner, on details, then things can change and margins can be turned in your favour.

Kalvin Phillips, can see best of him still? He's played a good amount of games, 10 league starts, he's been unavailable for around six through suspension and injury. He's improving, 10 starts is more than he's made in other seasons. In much better rhythm than when he arrived and he can have an impact on the rest of the season.

Good competition in central midfield, Jens been excellent, Samy has been consistent with his performances as well. KP hungry and ready to help the team.

Rashford career downturn, things don't always go in smooth direction, sure he'll be working hard to get back to level.

Southampton, painful, feel the performance was good enough to win. Was never going to be a comfortable victory. Tough games previously and they've brought more players in. Watched all their games and don't think they've been as limited chances-wise as they were against us. Since then, got on with trying to improve, players who were here and those who have come in. Says new players have all settled in well.

Pleased to see Morgan Rogers doing well, perhaps a surprise so well, a bit like Liam. Certainly kicked on, but hopefully a quiet game for him Saturday.

LIam, if you're going to play at this level, going to have to get used to playing with different players. His role has been pretty consistent. Having pre-season helped us and has played consistently since start of the season.

What does he mean by something we're going to show as we come out of it?

Do we possibly go through a different training regime during the winter period as more of a detox programme to get us ready for the run in, it's definitely as he's mentioned been a regular under him, and with him being so technically spirited, i've been curious if there's something we do purposefully during our winter months compared to some other sides, or if it's all just been coincidental and Jan signings have just helped us get over the line..
