That’s interesting.
Whilst we’re talking about the Bronze Age - contrary to popular belief, it is now thought that people back then operated a sophisticated banking and insurance system. This afforded the population some luxury of property protection in case of accidents such as fires.
If it was thought that anyone who was under suspicion of dishonouring such a system would be Chased out of the settlement.
