Friday looked like a team of strangers and then after 8 changes tonight's team also looked like a team of strangers.

Unless it clicks fairly sharpish we could easily find ourselves 9+ points behind teams after about 6 games. Last time in the Champ we started really well and it allowed us to have a wobble around New Year without dropping down the table, before picking up again.

There's not even been a hint in the first 2 games that we look like a cohesive side.

With confidence and momentum this squad will be great at Championship level. But we need a couple of wins to get that going and obviously the sooner the better.

It should be the opposite this season though. With the funds and the (hopefully) better squad depth we should be the ones able to go on a run in the NY when those fixtures get condensed.

Start of the season for any relegated club is tough. Shorter pre-season, turnover of squad, unsettled players etc etc
