Water parks/swimming pools 19:09 - Aug 24 with 278 viewsitfc_bucks

Bringing the kids to Suffolk next weekend, looking to stay either in Fram or Felixstowe.

They want to hit up a decent swimming pool, ideally something with slides or wave machine/lazy river etc.

Any suggestions?

Get them in the sea.

Forecast is looking a little iffy, but they're no stranger to going in the sea! We're in a camper van so my only concern is about getting them warm again afterwards.

Only one I know is Thetford. Wave machine and possibly one slide.

Used to love it there when my kids were small.

Felixstowe Leisure Centre is decent but basic. Couple of slides. https://www.placesleisure.org/centres/felixstowe-leisure-centre/ They do sometimes have inflatables etc.

Colchester another option if that isn't too far https://colchesterleisureworld.co.uk/our-swimming-pools/the-leisure-pool/

Crown Pools in Ipswich centre had a wave machine about 20 years ago. I assume they still do not not 100% https://www.ipswichfit.co.uk/public-leisure-swim/

Truly impaired.

Colchester has flumes and a lazy river but no wave machine. Crown Pools definitely still had its wave machine c18 months ago so presumably still does, but otherwise not a lot else

Not a swimming pool but as a left field shout to the OP, Alton Water have their Aqua Park on atm:

Crown pools has a wave machine and it’s a beach style pool.

I went into the Felixstowe pool a few months ago. It’s got a slide, deep pool and a beach style pool for younger ones.

I hadn’t been in the Felixstowe pool for 30 years and it was like going back in time, nothing had changed a bit.
