I recently worked at a tech company who had moved to biometrics and retinal scanning for MFA, but due to a change in circumstances had to leave recently. In my defence, with my glasses off, the words rectal and retinal look very similar. [Post edited 26 Aug 14:05]

Well I have that on my MacBook but work insist on using windows machines And a lot of insurances companies insist on an additional external verification, which is a pain

If you use something like BitWarden, which is OS agnostic, then it'll work everywhere. Works for me across all my devices.

Most large companies lock down employee computers so nothing erroneous can be installed. You can request it, only for IT to say 'No' after they finish a three hour gaming session.

I have used codes twenty or thirty seconds after they have 'disappeared' before.
