Rangers v Celtic 13:56 - Aug 31 with 591 views | Illinoisblue | Awful game. Highlight was a large white piece of paper or plastic on the pitch, that nobody bothered to pick up. It would blow around a bit but never quite did enough to really get in the game. Fitting.

I spent most of the game being annoyed no player or ref picked it up. What a timid game, though. Sad to see how poor and irrelevant Scottish football is.

That's the first 0-0 in an old firm game since 2017. 29 games ago. So I'm not sure how that one result is an example of how poor and irrelevant Scottish football is? It's irrelevant to people in England but no more relevant for the people living in Scotland than the Dutch league is for people living in the Netherlands or any other domestic league around the world. Great result for Celtic though. Keeps Russell Marin in a job for a bit longer and maintains a six point gap.

To be fair even Chris Sutton and Kris Boyd were slating it. Two poor teams according to Sutton. I love the Old Firm games so no reason to downplay them but these two teams look relatively crap. Celtic have no pressure from Rangers over a season.

You will of course be aware of how both Rangers and Celtic fared in Europe this week? I know the authorities are slowly letting proper away allocations back, but it’s a far cry from when you had whole ends bouncing and singing at old firm games and you had genuine talent on the pitch.
