Manningtree Railway Station 10:07 - Jan 3 with 1535 viewsShobby

I’m a London based fan who usually travels to Portman Road by train. Next weekend there are severe disruptions so was planning to drive to Manning-tree, park up, and catch the train to Ipswich. Never done this before could anyone please tell me if parking is available at Manningtree Railway Station and the cost. Thank you

Another option would be Marks Tay or Colchester, as there are trains to Ipswich from there.

There is certainly plenty of parking at Colchester, as I have done that a few times before when the trains have been affected by engineering works.

Thank you

At Colchester I think there is a machine near the station entrance where you can pay, or you can use the Pay by Phone app.

Thank you, do you know how much they charge on a Saturday, please?

Massive car park at Manningtree which never fills up (even during the week with commuters).
There’s some under cover parking too.

Please don’t be tempted to park on the streets nearby as it really annoys us locals! And the council will along soon to make the roads nearby “no parking” completely.

It's usually more or less £5 for a few hours. If you're coming up the A12, Colchester station is easier to get to than Manningtree.

Yes, I've just checked and it looks like its £5.45 for the day, or £5.65 with Pay by Phone.

Both of the googleable links that others gave you above give the prices. I found them on there in 20 seconds.

I don't do that if there is a Colchester option because you can be in Colchester affter the game much quicker by train than by car.
