Hive: Any of you busy bees use the Proton suite? 20:22 - Feb 27 with 392 viewsNthQldITFC

Particularly interested in their email, calendar, VPN, password manager and wallet - most of it really! - not bothered about spreadsheets etc, but would be interested in a decent task manager which I don't think they do yet, but may do soon.

I very much like the idea of binning off Google (not that I have much of a presence there as far as I know) and also quite like the idea of using stuff which originated at CERN and is very much anti-surveillance-capitalism focussed.

Experiences?

Good work by Philogene...... GREAT WORK BY PHILOGENE!!!

I only use the free /VPN but no complaints from me.

I like their business model and would be keen to move more over to it, especially email.

It's great. I only really use the VPN and email, but their encryption and email aliases are worth it alone

Thanks for asking the question. Not an option I had really thought about before.

It looks very good.

I currently pay for ExpressVPN and Google one for storage etc.

Proton would be cheaper.

I have a few months old Pixel phone, so Google has made sense, but cutting everything adrift and starting again is very attractive. Th intrusiveness of Privacy Policies and constant clickbait and doomscroll everywhere is getting to me.

I'm interested in what others think on these issues and wouldn't be against this becoming a long running mega thread of advice and relevant links!
