I can see now why so many top clubs wanted Anderson.
Once we got two proper fullbacks in James and Spence on the pitch we played so much better.

I thought Stones marshalled the back line really well and Dan Burn was just what we needed for the last 10 min or so.

But PLEASE can our wide players go on the outside sometimes rather than chopping back inside all the time. when we hit the dead ball line we created chances.

To all players have a shot, the ball moves all over the place, not many goalkeepers can hold onto the ball so there is always a chance of a rebound or deflection.

Eze is still frustrating me, although he has frustrated me all season.
When he played for Palace he would try something different and that invariably caused a problem for the opposition defenders. He moved to Arsenal and started playing the safe option, similar last night. A couple of occasions the Palace version of Eze would try a stepover, dummy and be heading towards the goal with the defender scared to tackle as they're in the penalty box. But last night the Arsenal version of Eze stops and plays the ball back.

It’s the modern way, they’re inverted goal scorers now, not creators…, not great if they don’t contribute goals.

Saka go’s both ways, did great a couple of times down the outside, but Madueke right foot isn’t at this level.

Gordon did it once or twice but so many times he was given the option and didn’t want it on his left.

Get a feeling a team will revert back if they have a hugely talented number 9 and that will become the fashion, if it has a lot of success.

Haaland has done brilliantly considering a Pep system doesn’t really suit him …, imagine if he had two wingers firing quality balls in …, he’d be unstoppable surely …, not the culture abroad or with continental coaches so much, or ours either now.

These things go in cycles though .., wingers who cross will be back - and Haaland (if it’s at city) would get 50 goals. People copy success, until it no longer adds as much value.

Wingers and a 4-4-2 …, it will be back, it actually has already started, maybe more 4411 with huge physicality.

Makes me laugh watching Arsenal, it’s like big Sam and Pullis were just 15 years ahead of their time.
