The new anti-sh!thousery rules .. 08:00 - Aug 23 with 1866 viewsHatStand

... seem to work, yesterday. Can't remember one player having to go off for the regulation 1 minute.
Certainly seems to have improved the game flow.
Also , some substituted players leaving by the nearest touchline.

Completely agree. Not seen much talk of it but the game flowed really well.

Let's hope it continues, eh?
Probably contributed to only 4 minutes being added.

One thing i did notice Sunderland doing was 'little' kicking the ball away when they concede a foul. Not very far, but fsr enough from the position if foul to slow the game down. Worth keeping an eye on.

All sides do that to prevent a quick free kick from being taken. McAteer did it towards the end.

No VAR stoppages or hydration breaks either. Was like a normal old fashioned game of football that we all love.

The game will be a lot better fot these new rules. Just a shame you have to create rules to get a decent, sportsmanlike game these days. Its all down to the coaching mentality in.the game these days I think.

Ridiculous that we've had 34 years of the "new improved" football, but it's gone to sh#t and we now need all these extra rules to prevent the game becoming a farce. Thought the backpass rule would be enough? Think again once you've got the diving cheats starting to learn their "skill" from age 5.

Even if we hadn’t scored the winner, yesterday was just really fun football match. Two teams playing proper football, no aggro between the fanbases after the game, no time wasting or sh*thousing and just generally an enjoyable game to watch.

More of that please
