Marcelino Núñez, midfielder for Ipswich Town,  left the Chilean national team camp on Wednesday after a major conflict with the squad, one day after the defeat against the United States on the North American tour.

According to information from Cooperativa Deportes , Núñez got upset with most of the squad and almost came to blows with Lucas Cepeda, which caused his early departure from the training camp.

The official version from La Roja, when announcing Núñez's departure from the squad, was only for "personal reasons". ( https://www.cooperativa.cl/not

On the North American tour, Marcelino Núñez only saw action in the first friendly, the 1-0 defeat against Canada, playing 52 minutes.

In the 4-2 loss to the United States, Núñez was on the bench and did not play any minutes for the team led by Nico Córdova.

Núñez is the second player released from the squad, as Benjamín Kuscevic also left the training camp due to injury last Saturday, September 26.

The Spanish national team will complete its North American tour on Tuesday, October 6, against Mexico in Los Angeles at 11:30 p.m. (2:30 a.m. GMT) , and you can follow it on our platforms.

Your translator has translated "La Roja", incorrectly in this instance, to the Spanish national team.

Yeah, not exactly a first for him. He seems like a likeable guy and is liked in the squad, but with the emotional maturity of a toddler lol

He will be nicely rested when the season resumes unlike our captain and several others.

I love the idea of Nunez being volatile even by Chilean or Latin American standards.

Wasn't a popular view when I shared it last season but I thought the whole Norwich panto stuff was tiresome tbh, and his afternoon at Carrow road was a shambles.

If a teammate of mine behaved like he did I would've been fuming, could've very easily been sent off and cost us. Put his own interests ahead of the team and KM was right to take him off. I don't think he was playing particularly well at that time either, should've focussed on contributing to the 'group' rather than all the BS theatrics. I think he'll be gone by the end of the next summer window, if not sooner.

I had this idea in my head that when we bought Nunez he could be our Fernandez. But I think he may just be another good player in the Championship along with one or two others we currently have.
That's not having a go at what we have. If we can survive it will be a building process for another two or three seasons.
