Edwards and Trinidad and Tobago All But Out
Edwards and Trinidad and Tobago All But Out
Sunday, 6th Sep 2009 08:57

New Town signing Carlos Edwards picked up his 75th Trinidad and Tobago cap overnight but his side are all but out of the World Cup after losing 4-1 in Honduras.

Trinidad and Tobago, who earlier in the qualifying process eliminated Reggie Lambe's Bermuda, are now bottom of the North, Central America and Caribbean qualifying group, while Honduras lead from the US in second.

Elsewhere in that section, former Blues loanee Giovani Dos Santos scored one and created two in a man of the match display as Mexico won 3-0 in Costa Rica to climb into the third World Cup qualifying place.
