Newcastle Site Launches Fundraising Sir Bobby T-Shirts
Newcastle Site Launches Fundraising Sir Bobby T-Shirts
Tuesday, 1st Dec 2009 11:24

Newcastle United website true faith is selling T-shirts to raise funds for the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation.

There are three designs, one for Newcastle, one England and one for Town, as pictured below, with around £14 of the £20 price going to Sir Bobby’s charity, only the costs of manufacture and postage and packing having been deducted.

The Newcastle and England shirts raised more than £1,000 in their first week. You can purchase the shirts via true faith here. Last week Town handed a cheque for £43,000 to the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation, the money having been raised through the auction of the shirts from the Newcastle match and other merchandising.

Meanwhile, the shirts and other memorabilia left at St James’ Park, Portman Road, Craven Cottage and the Hawthorns in the weeks after Robson’s death are being sent out to disadvantaged people in Eastern Europe, Asia, South America and Africa. The charities Coaches Across Continents, KitAid and the RAF’s Taking Football to Africa and Beyond Appeal are organising its distribution.

Bobby gave me some of the happiest moments of my life, and i will always support cancer charities, but i think it is time for Town as a club and us as supporters to move on.

I got one of these in September after seeing it advertised in the England fanzine at the Slovenia game. http://www.philosophyfootball.com/view_item.php?pid=516

I like the design but, due to the colours of all Sir Bobby's clubs, they could only print it on green.

I like the one above but can't decide whether to go for another one or not. It is in a good cause so I probably will.

Thanks for the heads up Phil.

I'm not sure I follow you tractor roy.

And BlueysNosebag... or anyone who has bought one for that matter... I just wondered what they were like size-wise? Was thinking medium/large but if they come up quite big a large could drown me.... Any tips?
