Priskin Has No Plans to Leave
Priskin Has No Plans to Leave

Town frontman Tamás Priskin has told the Hungarian press that he has no plans to leave the Blues during the transfer window. Reports over the weekend claimed that Town would look to sell Priskin and Pablo Couñago to raise cash in order to sign Derby striker Rob Hulse.

Priskin says this is news to him: "I’ve only seen this in the press and if it’s up to me, I'm not going anywhere.”

The Hungarian international admits the season hasn’t gone to plan so far but will be looking to remedy this in the months to come: “While at Watford last season I started more than 30 times, at Ipswich I’ve started only nine, but I work hard to change this. "

Priskin, who joined the Blues from Watford for £1.7 million in the summer, signing a contract until 2012, says that despite his lack of opportunities there has been no fallout with manager Roy Keane: "It is normal player-manager relationship with us."

The 23-year-old has scored only twice this season, in the Carling Cup at Peterborough in August and at Doncaster in the league. His last appearance was as a sub in the home league game against Peterborough last month with his most recent start at Cardiff at the end of November.

im not being pessimistic ! i feel that the team has at last started to come together, but i cannot get excited about Priskin , he is an ''excellant goal scorer'' well all i ask is bring it on !if he is that good why is he not getting the playing time people say he is missing ? must be Roy Keane then !surely if he is as good as some on here say he would be getting the time,.

I think that you learn a lot about a striker when he is one on one with the keeper.
I remember a few weeks back he had a one on one with all the time and space in the world.
The result completely lacked any confidence , composure and ability.
I would love to be proved wrong but i think Keane knows he wasted £1.7m .
Mind you £2.5m for Hulse is nonsense.

Tamas Priskin is a proven goalscorer at international level and with watford he bagged a fair amount. The last time we were all talking about a signing for around £2 million who wasn't performing to expectations once first signed was David Norris, and now he Is considered one of our best players and hardest workers, that's because we gave him a run in the team. So keano, give Tamas the opportunity and he will do the business

i agree with you campo,Alex who is wrong ?cant argue with Priskins past record, what im aying is he has not shown any signs of doing it with Town , is Keane wrong in not playing him [which is a waste] or is Priskin not up to it here[which is a waste] either the manager is at fault or the player, he is no good to us making number up on the coach, sitting on bench jelling his hair .

Priskins record is 1 goal in games for town and 1 goal in 4.5 games for Watford worse than Counagos scoring record of 1 in 3 or town , hardly "excellent scorer" or "bagging alot" .
As Dirty said if he is as good as people say why is a journeyman like John and a 16 year old boy who has not scored keeping him out the team ?
In Roy we trust which is why i think in Jan we will be going for a left back ,left midfield and striker like we did in pre season because he isnt happy with the ones he signed
