And the point in moving them is....?! Generally just causes problems for the travelling fans!

Then again... I guess all the rioting hooligans that we alway see will be at church on a Sunday and on Good Friday!

Why doesn't the League sort these changes out before releasing the fixtures to the public? Couldn't they have spoken to the Police last week?

Its a bout bloody time this ridiculious situation regartding moving the derby game to midday ish on sundays or any other bloody day than a ferkin SATURDAY 3pm is stopped by the tow clubs. The police are a joke in term sof issuing this demand on the basis of crowd control.

How does the Chief Constable of Suffolk or Norfolk think Manchester ,. Liverpool and Glasgow derby's deal with REALLY big crowds on their derby days , which invariably are played at normal / tarditional times ?

FFS this REALLY pisses me off !!!

I like early kick-offs, means there is more of the day left to do something with. Hooray for the old bill!

That's no good! Doesn't give us enough time to slap the budgie fans about before kick off....

I jest, I jest. It is getting silly though - given that the Naaaaaaaridge fans are herded like sheep by the police from station to ground and back again (as are we up there), so not even the opportunity to mingle/drink/scrap anyway! So where is the justification for this ridiculous rearrangement?

Oh I forgot - this is the same police that banned the World Cup screenings in Chantry Park ....

Well that will be a nice little bit of overtime for 500+ extra Police on bank holiday double pay, absolutuely discusting. It's this sort of spunking public money up the wall which has lead to the financial mess we are in at the moment. Hopefully, after the budget cuts announced tomorrow there won't be enough money in the pot to service these arrangements.

what a joke! never any trouble, i think both sets of fans will agree!

Usual pathetic decision - I agree with dobbie73 - its the same local Police that couldnt cope with a few fans on Chantry Park and they were all supporting the same team !!
Its funny how the South Wales Police were able to deal with the Cardiff v Swansea game last season and that was a late afternoon k.o.

This is getting beyond a joke i thought our game would be safe having bank holiday either side...something needs to be done about this... does anyone have some complaints emails/phone numbers that can be spammed with comlaints from bored facebookers? if it comes to it we can threaten violance if it is not played on the staurday lol.

I reckon they deal with it by using the considerably larger police forces both of them have available.
And how much REALLY bigger is 30k at Portman Road versus 38k at Everton, 42k at Liverpool?

Complaints adreses/phone numbers that are not to do with an individual officers miss conduct

although you could stretch it and say that its misconduct for the chief to ok this ;)

Totally terrible decision! This is yet another one of those stupid calls from so called high paid officials who fails to consider the public.

elburro3 added 17:04 - Jun 21
Policing is funded by the club for matches anyway, so all those saying the overtime is a waste of public funds is talking garbage. Quit moaning, its always going to be on a sunday.

tractorboybig added 17:06 - Jun 21
The police are paid to do a job.
If They are completly incapable of policing these matches as they are paid for then lets get a private firm in to do it.
