PSV Only Dutch Fixture
PSV Only Dutch Fixture

Town have ruled out further friendlies in Holland in pre-season aside from the PSV match on Saturday 17th July. The Blues had planned to play two other matches in the days following the game in Eindhoven but were unable to agree suitable fixtures.

Town's Ticket Office is selling tickets for the PSV match, priced at £4.25 with a donation going to KWF, the Dutch Cancer Foundation.

The match is part of PSV’s fans’ day, which starts at 4pm with food, drink and PSV-related items available at booths in car park P2 and in the Stadium Square in front of PSV FANworld.

The stadium itself opens at 5.30pm when music will be played and PSV TV films will be shown on large video screens. The coaching staff and players will be introduced to the crowd from 6pm and PSV’s summer signings will be unveiled and interviewed. The match kicks-off at 7pm.

A list of Town’s pre-season fixtures can be found here.

We're not having a lot of luck getting what we want this pre-season, are we?! It would have been great to play a few more games in Holland and restore some Dutch links. There must be plenty of promising players that we could scout over there.

£4 to watch a game at PSV but £15 to see the friendlies in Ipswich. Come on Mr. Clegg, lighten the load on supporters' pockets please!

Can we find a link to a trusty Phil Ham comment suggesting a likely dutch tour?

It will be great to go over there and sample the smoky local roadside cafe's and the elequent museums and attractions. When I get bored I may go watch us get stuffed.

Even £15 seems a bargain compared to the price being charged last pre season for the Town v Cork City game €50 which was a total rip off and the effort didnt save Cork.Just wonder where all the money Cork got went too or whose back pocket its in along with the money they got for Colin Healy.Fair play to PSV at least no fat cat seems to be on the make there.

Arent the prices in Holland one of the cheapest along with Germany anyway? Lets not hide from the fact that this is very good what they are doing. May go by Eurolines

It was me who said there would be a tour. That is what the club tried to do. Some of you are very naive thinking that if something doesn't come off in the end it must be a lie.

I think keane bought healey just to help his beloved cork City out...i suspect that because given his record in terms of injuries and simply not being anywhere near good enough for league or or two even why the hell would there be any logic in signing him.... In fact it smacks of us playing cork just to help them out financially because of keane.

Cork had already agreed the same fee with Hartlepool before he came here, so don't think that could have been the case.

Are you implying there was nothing in the planned Dutch tour? The club have confirmed that that was the plan: http://www.itfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10272~2083547,00.html
