Fülöp Move Set to Go Through Wednesday Tuesday, 3rd Aug 2010 23:49
Town are now expected to complete the signing of Sunderland keeper Márton Fülöp on Wednesday, despite newspaper reports linking Fulham with a move for the Hungarian international.
The Cottagers are said to have expressed an interest in the 27-year-old, but new manager Mark Hughes is now confident that he will keep Mark Schwarzer, who had been linked with Arsenal and who Fülöp had been ear-marked to replace: “We are in a position where we don't have to sell our better players.
"We want to progress and we are not in the position of letting our best players leave. Mark falls into that category.”

I'm sort of reluctant to post this message as i hate to start rumours, but I did hear last night that the reason he didn't sign yesterday is that Norwich came in with an 11th hour bid, which Sunderland have accepted and Furlop has gone to Norwich to talk terms... This isn't from a source who is "in the know" as it were, but he doesn't normally talk rubbish either... let's hope it's just "nasty" talk that you would expect given the delay...

Its pretty obvious it's all gone tit's up otherwise he would have signed by now!! I really feel for us in the new season. The most we can aim for is 12th place, Any higher will be a bonus but i just cant see it. The season kicks off in two days against boro, we have brought in nobody worth shouting about! No striker, no right back, no midfielder to replace garvan, Three players injured......If Boro hit form on saturday we will get taken to the cleaners!! This clubs lacks ambition!
