Fülöp Move Set to Go Through Wednesday
Fülöp Move Set to Go Through Wednesday
Tuesday, 3rd Aug 2010 23:49

Town are now expected to complete the signing of Sunderland keeper Márton Fülöp on Wednesday, despite newspaper reports linking Fulham with a move for the Hungarian international.

The Cottagers are said to have expressed an interest in the 27-year-old, but new manager Mark Hughes is now confident that he will keep Mark Schwarzer, who had been linked with Arsenal and who Fülöp had been ear-marked to replace: “We are in a position where we don't have to sell our better players.

"We want to progress and we are not in the position of letting our best players leave. Mark falls into that category.”

Quite an interesting website my Watford Season Ticket holder best mate just sent me which shows all the transfer actions from the CCC so far.

Agree with the Ipswich comments and a nice comparison against other teams!

this transfer is really starting to get on my nerves :|
i wouldnt mind if it was for someone like chopra, but were wasting valuble time signing a player we dont even need - seems stupid to me. Wouldnt be surprised if we end up in league one come may.

Not only have we a black away shirt for next season we should all wear black armbands for the first home game as Keane has killed this club.

I know this is very frustrating but we just need to put up with it untill a better time comes along. Its happend in the past, and the glory days will happen again.
And also think of Portsmouth fans - they make me feel better about supporting Ipswich :D

Please take off this story as it is clearly completely spurious, just like all the other rubbish deadlines we have been given concerning him

Agreed, bored of this now. Pleasepost on when and if he signs. Really can't see why this has dragged out for so long other than for Steve Bruce to start a bidding war.

suffolksam - I think the club is in such a state of dissarray no-one knows inside,or out, what is going on. Not even sure anyone knows who does what anymore - what a state of flux for the start of a new season hey ! Whatever happened to words such as 'organisation' and 'direction' ??
Probably went with everyone else of any substance I guess.

ipswichsupporter88 - don't make such comparisons please to gain solace- but it shows what can happen to a club in the wrong hands - makes you think !!!!!!
The thought will have crossed many minds ..... I'm sure.

I'm bored with this,so in a musical mode

The sun will come up tomorrow = Fulop will sign up tomorrow
The sun ain't going to shine anymore = Fulop ain't going to sign anymore

or they seek him here they seek him there he's a dedicated follower of signatures (with apologies to Ray Davies)

Saw him play for Man City last year and he looked fab. It's nearly Thursday now, still no confirmation. Worrying!

We are living in cloud cuckoo land if we think any more players are coming in !!! With the way we have been left short on the promised signings those who did not renew season tickets this year were the wise ones !!!! No chance of being treated the same way next year if we are still around .
