A Town academy team has reached the final of the U15 Elite Boys section at the Umbro Galway Cup in Ireland. The Blues youngsters previously won the same age group at the tournament in 2007.
Having beaten Welsh team Bangor Town 2-0 and lost 3-1 to an FAI Emerging Talent side on Wednesday, the young Blues completed their group fixtures with a 1-0 victory over Norwegian club on Thursday.
In today’s semi-final the Town boys beat Irish side Cherry Orchard 3-1 and they now face Aberdeen in Saturday’s final, which kicks off at 2.40pm at Salthill Devon’s Drom Soccer Park.
