Keane Targeting Fifth Loanee
Keane Targeting Fifth Loanee

Boss Roy Keane has revealed that that the Blues are talking to a number of clubs regarding a potential fifth loan signing. Keane feels that one area of his squad is short of cover, having previously indicated that he could look for an additional striker.

The Town manager said: “We’re in discussion with one or two clubs at the moment, but nothing might happen in the next week or so.

“I think we need one more player, I’ve said that over the last few weeks as there’s a certain area of the club where if we got any sort of injury we’d be short. I don’t think you need to be Einstein to work out where that might be.”

Keane has revealed that a couple of his players picked up knocks in training on Sunday, with one of those injuries likely keep an unnamed member of his squad out of Tuesday’s Carling Cup tie against Northampton.

The Blues boss says those players will be assessed today and tomorrow before he names his side after training on Tuesday.

Winger Reggie Lambe will come into Keane's thoughts after returning from international duty with Bermuda’s U20s yesterday, earlier than had been expected with their third match against Haiti having been called off after their opponents pulled out of the U20 World Cup qualifying group.

Jack Colback and Jake Livermore are cup-tied and will miss out on Tuesday having played for Sunderland and Tottenham earlier in the competition.

doctor-Albran WELL SAID! i have been saying for some time some of our fans have serious bi-pola, and like i said earlier in this chain, how sad we are beating each other up with handbags instead of getting behind our team - if anyone from outside of the club read this blog they would laugh histerically at how our 'fans' spend more time bitching at each other than actually concerntrating on the football and getting behind their team!!! Gazza, i assume you are the miserable git from the EADT website, their cannot be two like you i am sure¬! you alongside Ged and Rob are the reason i dont ever go on that website anymore, it is utter drivel.

Enough Said. Dr Albran, I couldn't have put it better myself.

If we looked cr** in defeat like last year with no signs of improvement of drive, then some of the comments are due, but get a grip everyone. We've made good progress this year and there's some bright players coming through. Cover at RB or let Eastman/Brown have a run of game? and/or give Priskin a longer run up top (not sure about just the one up and would settle back to 442 or even 4-1-2-1-2 with Priskin behind Scotland & Wickham? Just a little more adventure please. Fix the RB hole (sorry Jamie) and the defence looks solid, giving a better platform to allow a more attacking formation.

Still Trusting in RK,

COYB

Good words and proves we know something about football.

I have been saying the same since the start of the season.

In my humble opinion if feel NOT enough attention is paid to the full back positions. The best atacking teams in the world employ the best full backs in the world.

If a full back is out injured DO NOT put a central defender there for cover.

If RK wants to tinker try playing 4-1-3-2 with full backs pushing forward ALL the time. It will frighten the sh*t out of the oposition.
