Palace Could Target Town Duo Again
Palace Could Target Town Duo Again
Friday, 4th Feb 2011 13:19

Crystal Palace boss Dougie Freedman says he could try to sign Town duo David Norris and Damien Delaney in the summer. The Blues rebuffed a joint £800,000 offer from the Eagles for the pair on Monday.

Freedman says he could look at making a renewed attempt to sign them in the close season: "We were in for them on deadline day and it didn't quite work out.

"But if the deal is right in the summer I would definitely revisit it - they are two players with decent quality."

Norris and Delaney are both out of contract at the end of the season with Palace having been willing to offer them three-year deals had the Blues accepted their bid.

Do one Freedman!!, even if they don't tie up deals here, both would stroll into better teams than Palace!!!

I would guess that Palace could find themselves in the relegation position at the end of the season so I can't imagine either of them wanting to go there! Also Palace have no money so couldn't offer large wage packets.

ITfc could try and sign Batistuta in the summer.

Wouldnt mind loseind Delaney to much to be honest i like Tommy smith and think we need some young legs at the back along side Mccauley next year assumeing we can keep him.
would like to Keep Norris but wouoldnt be the end of the world if he does go although it would have been nice to get a fee for him.
in the middle we have Leadbitter,Hyam and drury if he's any good leadbitter being able to play an attacking role for a change and put his thunderous shot to good use if Hyam was playing alongside him... Norris has pushed out wide in recent games anyway so is not being used in the middle so ideally we would replace him with a good winger that edwards can play 2nd fiddle to... Darren Ambrose would be nice :D and of course signing a nice RB in the summer i would welcome zuiverloon... how ever its spelt back if we could get him he looked good.

in summery:
Tommy smith to replace Delaney

A new Right back

dont really need any central midfileders even if Norris goes

Get a nice new right winger in and if Civeli is being taken out into the field to be shot a new left winger to as the only one we have is Lee martin and he plays better in the middle.

And maybe 1 new striker in the mould of Austin that we missed out on. Jordan Rhodes would be awesome but Priskin,Scotland, and Wickham are all capable and Ronan Murry might come good after a loan spell

quite right Bluebell they will be in Div 1 next year. I'd like to see them go to palace then.
Why is this @rse allowed to to unsettle our players?

Dougie - by the looks of things, you probably wont even be in the job by the summer

Sospiri, you have no idea.

Dougie has looked a very good manager so far. No goals conceded in the last 6 home games?

You have to admire the cheek of Palace. Who would want to play at that dump of a ground - its probably as bad as Pompeys. Even if the Club move they will be playing in front of an athletics track. Yes Freedman has tightened it up at the back but its no good if you can't score CPFC. For all that I would rather Sheff U went down than Palace if only for the distance we have to travel even though every time we go there its a mystery tour.

should sell both for £800,000. should be enough to pay norita's salary on loan for the next 6 months

Get your inbred heads out of the sand, tits. We have money and are on the on the up. Why would someone want to move from the arse end of the country to the capital city. Hmmm. Tricky one. Oh, and fyi, our new stadium will not have an athletics track.
