Town Amongst Clubs Linked With Tyson
Town Amongst Clubs Linked With Tyson

Town, Derby County and Hull City are all reportedly interested in Nottingham Forest striker Nathan Tyson. The 29-year-old is out of contract this summer and has not been offered a new deal at the City Ground.

The Reading-born frontman or left-sided midfielder began his career with his hometown club with whom he made his league debut in 2000. While with the Royals, 6ft-tall Tyson spent time on loan at Maidenhead United, Swansea, Cheltenham and Wycombe Wanderers.

In March 2004 he made his move to Wycombe a permanent one for an initial fee of £140,000. Having scored 44 goals in 83 starts and four sub appearances for the Chairboys, the one-time England U20 cap won a November 2005 move to Forest, initially on loan with £675,000 changing hands to make the switch permanent the following January.

While with the Tricky Trees Tyson has scored 42 goals in 144 full appearances and 69 games from the bench.

Meanwhile, QPR are reported to have made a £2.5 million offer for Watford striker Danny Graham, who is also understood to be a Town target.

Elsewhere, former Blues frontman Nicky Forster has retired from playing at the age of 37 to concentrate on becoming a manager. Forster was with Brentford last season, becoming the Bees' temporary manager towards the end of the season but is not in the running for the job permanently.

The thing that annoys me most about Scotland and Priskin is there are too slow

Scored 2 goals last season in a top 6 side, makes Priskin look prolific

Not a "traditional" town player. This is exactly what we need. Pace and confidence, would be a great addition.

Free transfer.......do it!

Just more speculation. Probably a good player on a free - but a 25-goal a season man? Time would of course tell.

Looks like no chance of signing Danny Graham.

We should be setting our sights higher than the players Forest are offloading, either that or using our scouting network to pick out the future gems from L1,L2 and the Blue Square.

would be a good signing on a free .

He's a livley Quick player and would be a good player for us ! ... but we would still have to sign a 20 goal a season sticker !

Tyson on a free and wages cant be too high ..less then scotland i can imagine . then Billy Sharp and that would be a class forward line . both players who put them self about as well and will get stuck in .

I cant see him going to Derby and id like to think we could beat Hull City to him !
sign him up !

Forest did not want this guy, some of you are saying? Let's not forget that this is the same club that sold Grant Holt to Shrewsbury 3 years ago because they didn't think he could cut it at League One level...I'm not saying he could be a prolific goalscorer at all, just that they have proven that they are not exactly the best judges
