Town are one of a number of clubs reported to be interested in MK Dons right-back Danny Woodards. The 27-year-old is out of contract having rejected a new deal at stadium:mk with the Blues, Bristol City, Doncaster Rovers and Sheffield United all believed to be monitoring his situation.

Woodards, 5ft 9in tall, started his career with Chelsea, moving on to Exeter in 2005 without having made a senior appearance at Stamford Bridge, having also been on trial at Wycombe Wanderers.

After a year and a half with the Grecians, the Londoner joined Crewe Alexandra for a fee of £30,000.

Having allowed his contract at Gresty Road to run down, Woodards joined the MK Dons in the summer of 2009 on a free transfer and since then has made 72 starts and seven sub appearances, scoring one goal.

An England C team player during his time with Exeter in the Blue Square Bet Premier, Woodards has also operated at centre-half, right midfield and central midfield in addition to his preferred right-back role.

Maybe things will start to happen after the weekend and the football coming to an end, or will that be players holiday time ? Can just picture them taking the waters and paddling aching feet in the brinney at Southend !

With every new name added to this site as a potential "target" the posts seem to be becoming more desperate, either for or against the player.

We need to get real - players will research these sites if there is any interest in them and word will soon get around the playing community that Ipswich fans are aload of moaners.

Let us all be patient and give the Club a chance.

I wish we had more financial punch to have scouts in Australasia. I know the Bundesliga have cottoned on to some very decent young talent from Aus. Robbie Kruse and Dusseldorf, Mathew Leckie at Borussia monchengladbach, Mitch Langerak and Borussia Dortmund, Dario Vidosic FC Nurnberg, Nikita Rukavytsya at Hertha....and the list goes on. Maybe not household names in England but these guys are young talent that even at Championship level are being sold at a ridiculously low prices and have more talent and drive than alot of current Championship players!!
