![]() Thursday, 26th May 2011 19:17 Northern Ireland manager Nigel Worthington has confirmed that Town midfielder Josh Carson will win his second full cap when his side take on Wales in their final Carling Nations Cup match on Friday (Sky Sports One/HD1 7.30pm). Worthington, who in any case is short on options due to injuries, says he was impressed with the Antrim-born player’s debut in the 5-0 defeat to the Republic of Ireland on Tuesday: “Young Josh Carson I thought was excellent, a very mature performance by a 17-year-old.” Departing Blues defender Gareth McAuley is again set to skipper Worthington’s team. Meanwhile, McAuley’s new club West Brom have been thwarted in the attempt to land reported Town target Danny Graham, Watford having rebuffed their £2.5 million offer, as they did with QPR’s similar bid a week ago. Northern Ireland: Tuffey (Inverness Caledonian Thistle), Hodson (Watford), Coates (Crusaders), McAuley (West Brom), Cathcart (Blackpool), Carson (Town), Norwood (Manchester United), Garrett (Linfield), Gorman (Wolves), McGinn (Celtic), Feeney (Oldham).
