![]() Friday, 27th May 2011 11:52 Town midfielder Josh Carson has been confirmed in the Northern Ireland U21 squad for next Tuesday’s European Championship qualifying game in the Faroe Islands, despite playing in two full internationals this week. The 17-year-old made his senior debut in Tuesday’s 5-0 defeat to the Republic of Ireland and is in the starting line-up for tonight’s Carling Nations Cup game with Wales in Dublin (Sky Sports One/HD1 7.30pm). The Northern Irish U21s face the Faroese at the Gundadalur Stadium, Gundadalur in their first qualifier of the campaign. Released Town defender Rory McKeown, previously uncapped at U21 level, is also in the squad. Carson has previously played twice for the U21s.
