Peters and Canada in Warm-Up Action
Peters and Canada in Warm-Up Action
Wednesday, 1st Jun 2011 09:49

Jaime Peters could be in international action with Canada overnight as they prepare for the CONCACAF Gold Cup in the US which starts next week. Peters will be hoping to win his 26th full cap as his side take on Ecuador in a warm-up friendly in Toronto.

The Canadians face the hosts in their tournament opener in Detroit next Tuesday, then are subsequently in action against Guadeloupe on June 11th in Tampa and Panama on June 14th in Kansas City as they look to repeat the success of their 2000 squad, which included ex-Blues Craig Forrest and Jason De Vos.

I can't get enough of that face!

Hopefully Jaime is played as a defensive midfielder and Canada win the cup! Also, while you're there Jaime please have a word with Freddy Adu and get him down to Suffolk!

Joe Royle recruited Peters so you have to believe he has some talent. However successive managers seem to have overlooked him for a regular place in the first team.

It seems his versatility and his stature (lack of) have counted against him. Like Civelli we may never know if he could realise the early potential.
