TWTD 2010/11 Questionnaire Results Now Online

TWTD’s seventies-style supercomputer, the Osborne 1.0, has finished its calculations and the results of the 2010/11 TWTD Questionnaire are now available. More than 1,900 supporters took part, around 400 up on last year, making it by far the biggest poll of Town fans.

fourth added 18:20 - Jul 7 I've never seen anything like Ted Phillips taking a penalty 90 mph Centre goal hitting the cross bar. Incredible the Leiston monster. And in those days 30 goals a season was quite common. And Tom Garneys, not a mention. Look him up lads, he was the Man for Ipswich.

Well done lads you are an absolute godsend, especially to us (surpringly large number) of fans living outside of East Anglia.

How can Dean Bowditch, who, talented though he was, only ever had one good game for the club, get a vote for 'Best Ipswich player of all time', but Mark Brennan, who had loads, not get any votes? I went for Dalian Atkinson myself, brightened up the John Dunca era immeraurably; I'm sadly too young to remember the Wark era. With the brief exception of Dos Santos, I don't think we've had a player since Dalian who provoked in the crowd a comparable sense of anticipation as when he went charging towards an opposing defence.
