Town’s home game with Coventry City has switched to Monday 19th September with a 7.45pm kick-off from the previous Saturday for live Sky coverage.

The Blues' match at Peterborough United’s London Road on Saturday 20th August has already moved to a 5.20pm kick-off as it’s live on Sky.

So one or two selfish individuals on here, think its great from their own personal perspective. However, these short sighted people should realise that this is bad for the majority of fans, especially kids and therefore bad for the club, as effectively, the fans, being the only constant in football, are the club. The short notice is disgraceful. Those who have (and can produce) pre-booked travel documents should be refunded by the club, who will get Sky money. ITFC should also make it one of the mythical Category D matches to boost the crowd and demonstrate goodwill.

LancsBlue - May be you do think I am selfish but it is great news for me. I sympathise with those who have made arrangements as I was in the same situation myself this week with the England game being postponed. I had a non refundable hotel & train tickets so I know how it feels. TV rules football and they only have to give 10 days notice (remember Wigan at home just before Christmas one year? Moved 10 days beforehand). It's not right but without TV the game would be in a worse state. Let's look at it positively, casual fans who wouldn't have gone anyway but watched it on TV may be encouraged to get off their butts and down to Portman Road for the rest of the season.

I cut my holiday short by two days so I could attend the Coventry match!! I could have taken a nice late-morning flight home on Sunday, but due to football I booked an early-morning flight home on Friday, paying more or the privilege. All for nothing now the match has been moved!! It is a poor way to treat fans who pay £500 for a season ticket. Why can't they set the television schedule at the time the fixtures come out?!

Yay. I work on saturdays now.

So another match I can go to.

Feel sorry for people like Marcello and RRanger who have booked transport.

Why can't they decide what matches they want as soon as the fixtures are annonced?

Fantastic news for those of us who live hundreds of miles from Ipswich and rarely get to games. Nice to be able to see my team even though it's on TV.

More bothered by the fact we hardly ever win when we're on TV though!

Umros - Loyalty extends beyond football. Family for instance.

If you want loyalty, I'll give you loyalty - over 30 years going to home games 25 of those a ST holder, 20 years going to away games, 4 complete seasons in all competitions & numerous away European ties. Others have done better than me but that's my contribution to loyalty.

Think before you post.

Not ideal and not fair to those who will lose money on travel/season tickets . Just another example of how money rules football today . Well doesnt really matter to me i shall be there whatever day we play on and so will my 9 year old even iof it is a school night , doesnt make me selfish though lancsBlue , and what does loyalty have to do with it Umros ?

So where do I apply for compensation for the match that I've already paid for that I am now going to miss because we've never played a home match on a working Monday night before? (Bank Holidays excepted)

I am a season ticket holder, and would have been there on the Saturday, but now that its moved to the Monday, I can't go as I am in Switzerland for the night! I haven't missed a game for about 9 years - I hated missing it then, and I hate missing it even more now :@

As much as it annoys me too as it will disrupt another evening and mean that my 7 year old can't go either, hopefully it means that the club will receive a bit more money that they will use to continue to reinvest in the squad. I know we all look at it from an individual perspective but surely it will benefit the club - i just hope we don't put on another dismal performance as i can only remember the cardiff game as the last team we played well for the cameras in the league (i'm not counting the Leicester match!).
