Saturday, 3rd Dec 2011 14:46

Ibrahima Sonko and David Stockdale are back in the Town side which takes on Watford at Portman Road this afternoon after hamstring and shoulder injuries respectively. Jason Scotland and Lee Martin are back in the starting XI with Jimmy Bullard, Ívar Ingimarsson, Arran Lee-Barrett and Mark Kennedy all dropping out of the starting line-up.

Kennedy and Ingimarsson aren’t included in the 16, but Bullard and Lee-Barrett are on the bench.

Daryl Murphy switches to left midfield, but there’s no place for Jay Emmanuel-Thomas in the squad. Watford include former Town academy keeper Scott Loach, a Blues supporter.

Town: Stockdale, Edwards, Collins, Sonko, Cresswell, Martin, Andrews (c), Bowyer, Murphy, Scotland, Chopra. Subs: Lee-Barrett, Wabara, Bullard, Carson, Ellington.

Watford: Loach, Hodson, Mariappa (c), Nosworthy, Dickinson, Yeates, Hogg, Buaben, Kightly, Sordell, Iwelumo. Subs: Bond, Mirfin, Eustace, Beattie, Deeney.

So. I'm really rather 'king angry. We lost seven in a row. That was the worst run for 17 years. Promotion an impossibility. Top half still possible but to be talking in these terms after less than half a season is an absolute tragedy. Whither now?

I'm determined to remain optimistic. I admittedly didn't attend today's match and yes we lost again, but having checked the beeb stats and read Phil's match report, we at least put in a more spirited performance than Tuesday.

Infact, without wishing to state the bleeding obvious, were it not for the loss of the previous six games this game would have been credited as a decent albeit frustrating performance and outcome.

Our luck has to change soon, the team and the fans must simpy not give up.

Not a bad effort ,but still a loss rather than a win witch we badly need to boost confidence. Still letting in silly goals that not long ago would have been no problem for the team. We need a win not just for the supporters but mostly for the team players to get some confidence back. When you get into this rut its very hard to break free of it,. It also saps your will to play perhaps that is what is wrong with them right now. They need our SUPPORT not the ear bashing week after week,it only makes it worse. TRY and let see what happens? COYB
