Burnley's Marney Linked Again
Burnley's Marney Linked Again
Thursday, 5th Jan 2012 12:41

Town are reportedly one of a number of Championship clubs targeting Burnley midfielder Dean Marney. The Blues, Birmingham and Cardiff are all said to be tracking the 27-year-old, who TWTD was first to report was interesting Paul Jewell in the summer.

Marney is currently in the Burnley side and the Clarets are likely to want to hold on to the ex-Tottenham trainee, who has another 18 months left on his contract.

We need a young, pacey creative player. Someone who can pass the ball. Luke Hyam should also be given a chance.

I agree with ThatMuhrenCross , before spending money on players who probably wont want to come to a team in a relegation fight we should be giving Hyam a chance, at his time here he only had one bad game and that was against QPR ...I'm totally discounting the games Jewell played him in the cup, they dont count, you fill a whole team with kids and expect them to do something? idiotic

It's not about the players, it's about the manager. Whoever PJ gets, I have little faith that the results will change much

His whole career seems to be based on one wonder goal for Spurs on the tv.

A quick read on Wikipedia (the ever-reliable source of all information on anything) says that he was originally a right back, and expected to take over from Steven Carr in that position at Spurs. Could be worth a punt, especially if we miss out on Andrews

No one can possibly doubt the influence hyam had when in the team- was the star performer for numerous games on the trot before- give the lad another trot we won't regret it
