Pearce Undergoing Treatment
Pearce Undergoing Treatment
Tuesday, 31st Jan 2012 12:29

Town target Jason Pearce is now reported to be undergoing treatment at Portsmouth, accounting for his absence from training this morning. There's no suggestion that the 24-year-old has a significant injury problem, however.

Defenders Ricardo Rocha and Tal Ben Haim are also said to be in the physio’s room, while Jamie Ashdown is training in a gym.

Portsmouth's Australian winger Ryan Williams is understood to be closing in on a £500,000 switch to Fulham.

The closer we get to this evening's deadline, the less likely the Blues would appear to be to sign any of their three targets.

Reports elsewhere continue to link Keith Andrews with a deadline day move to the Blues but we understand this is wide of the mark with the Irishman set for a Premier League side, probably Wigan, not Reading as claimed elsewhere, if he can negotiate an exit from Blackburn.

If not, a move to a Championship club may be on the cards from next week, although Town may no longer be interested having signed Ryan Stevenson from Hearts over the weekend.

How completely & utterly disappointing. Hope some of our existing players, who know that the Manager is trying to replace them, still have enough confidence left to play well enough tonight. Really fed up & very worried about our ability to win points.Still, always hopeful that we will beat the Hammers tonight, but just recall the play-offs against them under Joe Royle. PR seemed like Upton Park they had so much support. How on earth have we landed ourselves 4th from bottom?!!

just goes to show what we all know really, and that is that Clegg shouldn't be allowed anywhere near the negotiating table! my dogs would do a better job in getting new players into the squad. what happens when we dont buy anyone? we get crappy over the hill loanies who don't give a damn about getting relegated because they will go back to their parent club anyway.
had high hopes for the transfer window..... not anymore.
