![]() Friday, 13th Apr 2012 14:37 Town’s U15s are in action at Portman Road on Friday in the Academy’s annual fixture against Manchester United’s youngsters (KO 7.30pm). Academy manager Sammy Morgan, who sets up the games, is pleased to be welcoming the Red Devils to Suffolk once again: "United don't go everywhere so it says something about them that they are prepared to travel down here and play our boys - and I think it says something about us as well. "It's a game the boys and the staff look forward to and there is a real sense of achievement there. They are good games as well. It gives the boys a chance to play in a big stadium, in front of a crowd and against top opposition as well. "Danny Welbeck played for them a few years back and look where he is now. They've had others that have gone on to play in the first team but we've had a few lads who have done well ourselves. "The games have been competitive and good to watch. They always seem to live up to our expectations and I'm sure Friday will be no different." Gates open at 6.30pm with tickets sold at the turnstiles, priced at £5 for adults, £3 for concessions and £1 for juniors. Only the Britannia Stand will be open. Prior to the match and at half-time, there will be coaching demonstrations by Academy players from U9 to U13 levels.
