MK Dons Confirm Harford Appointment Thursday, 17th May 2012 17:18
The MK Dons have confirmed Mick Harford’s appointment as assistant manager to Karl Robinson, as reported by TWTD last Wednesday. At the end of April, Blues boss Paul Jewell said he was hoping to add Harford to his scouting staff full-time, the 53-year-old having worked part-time for Town during the latter part of the season.
Harford says he is delighted to be taking on the role which became vacant after former Town assistant boss and coach John Gorman retired: "I am absolutely thrilled Karl has given me the opportunity to work with him and assist him in managing MK Dons.
"It is an honour to follow in John Gorman's footsteps and I am excited at the prospect of joining Karl and the team. Karl has the same football ethos as me and having seen the team on Tuesday night I feel very positive about the squad."
The MK Dons, who lost to Huddersfield in this year's League One play-off semi-final, have also added ex-Arsenal and England man Ian Wright to their staff as part-time first-team coach.

Talking of new management positions, I'm glad to see Liverpool are talking to Martinez about their managers job....anything to keep their focus off of our Paul Jewell :-)

To be fair an assistant manager position is a better career move than being a scout!
