Klug Confirmation Could Come This Week Monday, 11th Jun 2012 08:55
TWTD understands that Bryan Klug's return to his old job as Academy manager could be confirmed as soon as this week. The 51-year-old has recently held talks with the Blues regarding a Playford Road comeback having initially opted against returning to the role he vacated in 2006 to become Jim Magilton’s assistant manager.
Klug is set to take over from Sammy Morgan, who announced his Town exit at the end of last month after eight years at the club, three in his most recent position.
One-time Blues youth and reserve player Klug was controversially axed by former boss Roy Keane in January 2010 when in a head of football development role. Since then he has been working at Tottenham’s Academy as their assistant director and head of player development.
Meanwhile, new Town signing Elliott Hewitt is off to Lilleshall today for rehabilitation work as he continues his recovery from the hip impingement injury which required surgery and ended his 2011/12 season with Macclesfield.

Welcome back to where you belong. Another shocking RK decision. Maybe RK is a budgie!

Best news for a while. Good luck Bryan, I look forward to a resumption of the quality conveyor belt that we saw in the late 1990s - early 2000s.

New Boy; As academy manager he wouldn't be working directly with Jewell day-in day-out, it will be his role to hand over the lads and advise PJ who is ready to make the step up. BK is academy manager, PJ is first team manager, neither are each others superior.

I welcome this move. The restructuring of the academy needs appointments of this calibre. Hopefully a structure can be put in place which will avoid the tensions which ultimately led to his departure under RK.

Either he's coming and its agreed, therefore announce it. Or he hasn't and he might not come.

if he does return this will be great news for the club. The best coach i have ever had the pleasure of working with/coached by. He coached me at ITFC and in the loacal summer courses around the town,he also helped me with my injuries when i was realeased by the club. Cant speak highly enough of him. Brilliant

....... still can't see him coming back - IF he does, it will certainly be very much on his terms. Not many people would leave the job he has at SPURS - and take a chance by coming back here - all considered. Would be great to see a huge section of true ITFC PEDIGREE return to the Club though. Shame so much of it has gone.
