Chambers at Town to Complete Move
Chambers at Town to Complete Move
Monday, 9th Jul 2012 11:18

TWTD understands that former Nottingham Forest central defender Luke Chambers is at Town this morning as he looks to complete his Bosman free transfer to the Blues. The 26-year-old was at the club last Tuesday to undergo a medical and to look around the ground and training facilities but with his representative out of the country, returned to the Midlands without signing on the dotted line.

Former Northampton man Chambers is expected to sign a three-year deal at Portman Road, although newspaper claims that he will be doubling his wages to almost £16,000 a week were wide of the mark.

TWTD reported that Chambers would be back at Portman Road today to complete his move on Saturday.

Don't agree with making him captain, and I don't think we will, but its a massive signing.

Get it done.

Keep Carlos as Captain, he upped his game when given the band last year, make Tommy VC and plan for the future

to those of you questioning whether he gonna sign or not, still. the reason he was hesitating about moving here was, according to a nottingham paper at weekend(an interview with him). due to a health problem with his wife. he apparently not sure if moving would be a good idea for her. can only presume that as hes back down here that hes decided that not so much of an issue to prevent the move & would fully expect the deal to go thru. of course nothing guaranteed, but see no reason it wouldnt as everything else was agreed.

@blues 1. Maybe he is at the club to explain the reasons why he cant sign??. Who knows. Then again family & health must come first. Are we still cutting the red tape with the Kourouma ddeal??
