Canaries Linked With Camp
Wednesday, 16th Jan 2013 00:36

Norwich City are the latest club to be linked with Town target Lee Camp. The 28-year-old Nottingham Forest keeper, whose contract is up at the end of the season, has been told he can leave the City Ground during the transfer window having failed to agree new terms.

Camp, who has also been mentioned in connection with Reading and Hull City, is reportedly keen to weigh up the options open to him before deciding on his future.

He is understood to have held talks with the Blues last week and again in recent days.

Can't see him wanting to go to carrot road as second choice, given the reason he's leaving forest is because he'll be second choice. But then again.....money talks.

I think Town should look elsewhere because this player is looking for better offers and i dont think he really want to come to us and we dont need players like him anyway.
We have our number one keeper now and Mick just need to sign another decent keeper to work with him and keep him looking over his shoulder a bit.
We have a good keeper already and let Camp go to team up the road who we will be replacing later on.
Mick McCarthys blue and white army.
Come on the great silver shark get us in that big league again.
We all love you Mick and have faith in you whatever you do.

He's not as good as either of their two keepers, does this mean Ruddy is likely to be leaving?

I think this would show what he wants in his career. He's 28 which is a very good age for a goalkeeper, they tend to peak around 30ish so he can sit on naaarwich's bench and pick up premier league wages or he can play for us and try and work his way up there next year!

We were after him last season but he didn't want to come so we got Loach instead. It would appear that Loach is only ever considered as back up, which to me seems a touch harsh. Is Camp really that much better. We'd be better off either paying big money for someone much better or no money for a 19 year old with potential.

Do we even need another keeper, loach is looking pretty strong IMO

Norwich dont need a new gk either, ruddy is pretty good and cant see camp being first choice keeper over there. If camp did move to us, I think he would be our first choice keeper- thats why he should move to us.

I still rate loach, he's good enough for number 1, ALB is good enough to be a reserve. Can't see the urgency for GK, a Norris style midfielder and a cover CB for smith and chambers is more important. Hopefully Campbell as well as qpr are spending. Well be set.

I don't think this guy is coming here so if MM decides that he needs a better keeper I wonder why he doesn't approach Siddle because I have a sneeky feeling that if Mick could convince him of what he is setting out to achieve and how he is going to do it then Siddle would, IMO, come back. COYB

remember people, this is just a link from a newspaper story. may be no truth in it whatsoever. as far as him just looking for the best deal? yes, im sure he is, as would anyone in his position. that may be about money or it may be what overall package including whether hed be 1st choice, could come into it. dont see theres an issue with that. bigolconnor, we didnt even try to sign him last year so how is it he didnt want to come here. we got loach because we failed to get henderson, not camp. billblue, who is siddle? never heard of him.

They've already got John Ruddy, Declan Rudd and Mark Bunn, why do they need to sabotage any offer we may have in for him.

Scum are welcome to Camp as far as I'm concerned - he really isn't that good. Rather we went after Westwood. A far better prospect.

I think that Loach is a decent 'keeper and should be our no.1. It's then a question of whether ALB is good enough to be a back-up or whether we should sign a young 'keeper to replace him.

billblue? why do people every time we linked with another keeper come on here and suggest we get supple back?apart from fact he wouldnt be interested in coming back(hes quit football), i very much doubt hed be good enough any more. retro, camp isa very good keeper, much better than we already have. i find it strange that the same people who last season were saying lee barratt not even good enough for number2 are all of a sudden saying hes an ok deputy. while loach has done ok in the last 2 matches i still feel we need a better no1 than him, and camp fits that bill, as yes, retro, i think westwood would also

blues1.

What in the hell are you ranting on about? Why ask me what other people may or may not have said? So what if Camp is a better keeper than anybody else? Who Knows? I don't. If you read what I said instead of ranting and being so aggressive you might get further but people like you I just do not understand, what is the matter with you?

bill blue. not ranting, just making the point that every time we trying to sign a keeper, supple gets mentioned. just find it a totally pointless thing to write as theres no chance whatsoever that he would ever return. its a shame as he was a very promising keeper. so theres nothing the matter with me, just giving my point of view. as you were.

If it was a straight choice between Camp or Westwood , Id plumb for Westwood every time .
