Hyam Signs New Deal
Tuesday, 20th Aug 2013 13:07

Midfielder Luke Hyam has signed a contract extension until the summer of 2016. TWTD revealed that the 21-year-old had been offered new terms in May with discussions having continued throughout the summer.

The former Northgate High School pupil told the club site: “Obviously I’m delighted. Everyone knows this is my hometown club and I want to stay here as long as possible.

“I’m really enjoying my football at the moment and I feel like I am progressing as a player, although I know I have a long, long way to go yet.

“It’s a massive boost for me that the manager has given me this new contract and I just want to keep working hard and play my part in moving Ipswich Town forward.”

Earl 60 - that's right let's slag off Hyam. Season 3 games in and young lad still finding his feet and doing really well to hold his first team place. Never mind that though, just post negative comments which help no one. That's the problem with some Town fans. We have the same team as last season bar one player but over the summer the are supposed to have been converted into world beaters! Just be realistic and see where we are at Xmas.

Good news, players want to stay and decent players joining, just need to be a bit more penetrating in the last third and Luke, McGoldrick and Nouble to start firing instinctively.

Great news, only 21 he would have shone out like a beacon in last night's 21 Development team, as would Hewitt. The Club and supporters are starting to become 'ONE' again, aided by good Management....probably for the first time since ME saved the club!
