Murphy and Green Make Cut Tuesday, 20th May 2014 14:35 Town striker Daryl Murphy and former loanee Paul Green have been named in the final 29-man squad for the Republic of Ireland’s summer fixtures. Manager Martin O’Neill initially selected a 32-man provisional party for their four friendlies. Ireland face Turkey in Dublin on May 25th, Italy at Craven Cottage on May 31st, Costa Rica in Philadelphia on June 6th and Portugal in New Jersey on June 10th. The squad is due to meet up on Thursday. Murphy will be hoping to add to his 10 caps — and score his first international goal — having made his first appearance in nearly six years when he came on as a sub in a 2-1 friendly defeat to Serbia in March. Loanee Green, who Town manager Mick McCarthy hasn’t ruled out offering a contract later in the summer with his Leeds terms up, has previously been capped 21 times, scoring one goal.
