Bru and Anderson Start
Saturday, 27th Sep 2014 14:14

Mick McCarthy has made two changes from the team which beat Wigan 2-1 on Monday for today’s home game against Rotherham United. Kevin Bru and Paul Anderson replace the injured Cole Skuse and Teddy Bishop, who drops to the bench.

Skuse, who has been suffering with a toe injury, came off in the second half at the DW Stadium, while Bishop was also replaced with cramp.

The Blues look likely to continue with the 4-3-3 formation utilised against the Latics.

The Millers include ex-Blues keeper Scott Loach and former loanees Frazer Richardson and Paul Green from the start but on-loan Town pair Paul Taylor and Anthony Wordsworth are ineligible.

Town: Gerken, Parr, Mings, Berra, Chambers (c), Bru, Hyam, Anderson, Murphy, McGoldrick, Sammon. Subs: Bialkowski, Smith, Tabb, Hewitt, Henshall, Bishop, Bajner.

Rotherham: Loach, Skarz, Arnason, Broadfoot, Hall, Frecklington (c). Revell, Bowery, Green, Richardson, Pringle. Subs: Collin, Brindley, Becchio, Swift, Derbyshire, Clarke-Harris, Rowe. Referee: Keith Hill (Hertfordshire).

Interesting, Anderson plating in a middle 3 instead of tabb. Seems a little lightweight but very positive. COYB

nice to see that although he has taken bishop out of the side that Mick has still gone with an attacking replacement in Bru. Interesting to see how they line up as this means that its either going to be a midfield 3 of hyam, bru and anderson. or he's going to drop mcgoldrick back into the midfield and use murphy, sammon and anderson as the front 3. Either way this is going to be a very attacking team out from the start, its nice to see mick putting a team out to go and win the game from the kick off.

Can Anderson play centrally or will McCarthy play Anderson right wing and Murphy left wing with Sammon and McGoldrick up front?
