Murphy Returns for Town
Saturday, 7th Feb 2015 14:15

Daryl Murphy’s return in place of Noel Hunt is the only change to the Town team facing Rotherham at the New York Stadium.

Murphy, the Championship's top scorer on 18, is back after missing last week’s 0-0 draw with Wigan due to a calf injury.

Rotherham include three former Blues loanees, Frazer Richardson, Paul Green and Conor Sammon.

Rotherham: Collin, Richardson, Arnason, Morgan (c), Fryers, Newton, Green, Smallwood, Pringle, Sammon, Derbyshire. Subs: Thompson, Bowery, Broadfoot, Milsom, Ward, Hammill, Frecklington.

Town: Bialkowski, Chambers (c), Mings, Berra, Smith, Skuse, Bru, Anderson, Tabb, Murphy, McGoldrick. Subs: Kenny, Parr, Clarke, S Hunt, N Hunt, Bishop, Sears.

Superkevinwilson. There is a difference between supporting the team and being blinded by Micks stubbornness. This is not our best team. Again. Chambers is not our best full back. Anderson and Tabb are not better than bishop. Nick has again stuck with his favourites. Wrong players in wrong positions. While we stick to 4-4-2 with this personnel we will struggle. Go prove me wrong boys but I'm worried about this selection after seeing how dreadful 10 of this 11 were last Saturday.

Pokemonfootball that might be because of the success of his partnership with Murphy, his work rate and his basic skill. I accept he is not the same player he was last season but not sure his selection is unjustified.

Sorry have to agree, wrong line up, Bishop needs to be in the middle and I would play 4-3-3 with Parr at right back and Sears in to. How does Anderson keeps his place, was awful agaist Wigan, Tabb & Skuse weren't much better, no creativity or Goals in Midfield. Just wish Mick would go for it more.

@Kirbmeister. Believe it or we all want Town to win. The thing about a forum is sharing DIFFERING views on how we can achieve it. We are ALL entitled to our opinion, whether or not it is the same as yours or even MM's!!

1-1 draw today. Hopefully another dull performance will inspire mick to shake things up again for our next game. Perhaps MM has played a battling hard working team today because Rotherham play a similar style. I don't know hopefully we can grab all 3 points COYB

With this side today we better win MM or a few changes will be in the air starting with you.

No Bishop but Anderson retains his place even after his last three games. This sends a clear message to Bishop and co. Hopefully we can get a result but this shows real loyalty to ordinary players who have recently been a let down

About time McGoldrick started chipping in with a few goals now - he's had a year to get over his knee injury and another non performance today should mean that Sears is surely given his chance in the next few games.

We need Parr in the team! which means 433 in reality which is what we all want. This would be the best thing going forward. We may well win today with the centre back based 442 but long term its not progressive.

Well Mick has gone for what we all expected,Bishop and Sears on bench and Stuart and Ambrose no where to be seen.
Surprised Mick has bothered to get on the bus!!!
Skuse booked already.
Perhaps I am expecting too much after just seeing a cracking match between Spurs and Arsenal;but feel that Mick doesn't put much stall by entertainment.
McGoldrick about to come off;but surprise surprise Hunt coming on not Sears!!!

surprised after hauling Anderson off last couple of games he is playing
Bishop and Sears MUST come into this at some point - for the second half hopefully

It was fun while it lasted. How can everyone see what's wrong apart from the one man that picks the team?
