Former Town reserves coach Roy McCrohan died recently, aged 84.

McCrohan ran the Blues’ second string between 1969 and 1972, having previously worked alongside Bobby Robson at Fulham. He moved on to Luton Town, where he became first-team coach under Harry Haslam.

A wing-half in his playing days, McCrohan spent time with Reading, Norwich City, Colchester and Bristol Rovers and as player-coach at Crawley. He also coached the Pirates, as well as Aldershot and the Detroit Express, and was head coach of the Minnesota Kicks.

McCrohan, whose son Andy was a youth player with the Blues between 1976 and 1978, was living in the West Country when he died on March 3rd following a long illness.

floridablue added 20:09 - Mar 14 Sad news, but i'm surprised i cannot recall that name. Huge local fan during the 60s and 70s . I can recall Lea,Chung and Ferguson and having connections with Minnesota soccer fans i'll have to research the name.
