Town Activate Option for Crowe
Monday, 11th May 2015 18:27

Town have activated an option for a further year on keeper Michael Crowe’s contract. The 19-year-old’s terms were up this summer but he will now remain at Portman Road until at least the end of June 2016.

The Wales U19 international, who has been on the Town first-team bench but is yet to make his debut, recently spent time on loan at Vanarama Conference side Woking where he made four senior appearances.

London-born Crowe, whose father is English and mother Norwegian, joined the Blues in the summer of 2012 from Kristiansand-based side IK Start, having been brought up in Norway. He qualifies for Wales through his grandmother.

Why not offer him a new contract instead of taking an extension? Lack of 'keeper coverage?

CanadianBlue - It's a lot quicker to secure him for another year to activate a clause than to renegotiate terms.

And how are Dylan Connolly and Adam McDonnel getting on? Are they anywhere near the first team yet or likely to be?
