West Brom Linked With Mings Sunday, 14th Jun 2015 15:10 West Brom boss Tony Pulis is reported to be keen on taking Blues left-back Tyrone Mings to the Hawthorns this summer.
According to the Birmingham Mail two full-backs are on Pulis's summer wish-list and Mings is a target.
They also claim that the Blues have put a £6 million price tag on the 22-year-old but that Town are in no hurry to sell.
Scouts from virtually every Premier League club - including the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea - kept tabs on Mings throughout the season with the Blues understood to be unlikely to cash in on the one-time Southampton schoolboy for a fee below £10 million, having turned down a £3.5 million offer from Crystal Palace last summer.
In September last year Mings, who cost the Blues £10,000 when he was signed from the Evo-Stick League Chippenham in December 2012, signed a contract which runs to the summer of 2017.

TM is undoubtedly a talent but , I think he needs anoher full season at least and 'hopefully' a promotion winning one ! As some have said he still has things to learn and two areas I think he needs to improve watching him ; Def he can switch off defensively , afew times he was railed out by Berra for doing just that . Also whilst he looks great when pushing forward he too often hesitates and stops when with his stride and ability could take a player on . He has all the attributes to be a very good player and I like the comparison with Bramble - a move too early could halt his progress Like him and hope he stays and repays faith Mick put in him - not a bad bit of business for £10k - Thanks Russell

You don't win things by selling your best players. Unless it's silly prices. 10 million yes., 6 million no. Ok George what quality left back for 6 million do you have in mind?

We should of sold him last year apart from 3 or 4 good games first half of the season he cost us dear it was his inability to think and pass quickly that lead to the first scum goal. Having said that he seems a very decent young man off the field

Mings is the 1 player I wouldn't be sad to see leave for a reasonable fee. He frustrates the he'll out of me as he has so much potential, but needs to fulfill it. He is very lax at times and has not played at his full capacity enough of the time. He often looks like he is holding back and playing with the brakes on, which he did early doors, think at the time mick had a growl at him if I remember rightly. It was his first season at this level, just has the potential to be so much better. We didn't sell cressy for enough, if Mings is supposedly valued at 10 million

This does seem to be a nice position to be in having said that I cant see why Tyrone gets the criticism as some have said this is his first season at this level. I too have thought at times he looks too casual. Looking at Aaron Cresswell did any of us think in his first season that he would be linked with huge big money moves to the PL. Give Tyrone a chance to gain experience and get the 'bright lights' out of his eyes and we just might just see a real gem in our defence. He still has much to learn but he is young and hopefully he will work hard and progress here at Town.

If the transfer fee was to be reinvested in strengthening the squad I would be more than happy sell Mings. He hasn't impressed a great deal. There is potential there as he is an athletic player in a position that requires a huge amount of running, but I feel he is wasteful on the ball, lacks the ability to read the game and his concentration can drop. He's very young and requires a lot of coaching so could well come good, but at present he's worth nowhere near £6m. It's all academic. The money wouldn't be reinvested to bring in 3 or 4 quality players that we need to get out of this division so we may as well hang on to any glimmer of promise we have in the squad.

£6m income Outcome 2 or three more over thirty years olds on loan. We won't get anywhere without some quality in our midfield and that costs.

For God sake it was his first season in the championship after being a non league player. Give the guy a break . Why are people so keen to pick up his weak points .? Let's get some perspective . And I am not directing my comment to anyone but feel he needs to be left alone and come back and play for us next year to become a better player . No wonder no player wants to stay at our beloved club because they will get torn to pieces for a slightest mistake against some other horrible scum team. Just annoyed as he will be class eventually . Rant over

Totally agree with the above. it was his first season and he needs time to mature. Sometimes he's a brilliant player and has so much potential that i'd hate to see him go now. Frustrating at times yes, but he's a HUGE talent.

@airliner - I agree it was his first full season in Championship and will be better for the experience but to say he made a slight mistake is a gross understatement. His habit for lazy passes throughout the year this time cost us a goal and Berra and quite possibly a place in the final at Wembley. Yes we have to remember that he is young but after 47 championship matches we cannot sugar coat his error,

Let's face it , Redmond was a class above on the day and would have destroyed us anyway. Money talks and Norwich were better even with 11 men we would have lost
