Fraser Looking Forward to Challenge
Friday, 26th Jun 2015 16:46

New loan signing Ryan Fraser says he’s looking forward to the challenge ahead of him with the Blues and the start of pre-season training on Monday. The 21-year-old Scot has joined Town on a season-long loan as part of the deal which has seen left-back Tyrone Mings move to his parent club Bournemouth.

“Eddie Howe spoke to me about the possibility of coming to Ipswich and whether I would be interested and I said I’d love to come here,” the Scottish U21 international told Ipswich Player HD.

“I then received a phone call from Mick McCarthy and we had a really good chat. We spoke for a little bit and he seemed a really good guy.

“He told me about the lads, told me about the town and the way he does things at Ipswich. That was all I needed to hear really and that’s me here now!

“I’m looking forward to the challenge ahead and getting stuck into pre-season training next week.

“Ipswich is a great club and they were unlucky to just fall short in the play-offs but with hard work and a bit of luck, I think we can have a good crack at it again.”

Fraser, fellow new addition Brett Pitman and the rest of the squad will be at Playford Road to start pre-season training on Monday. Arsenal youngster Ainsley Maitland-Niles is also expected at the training ground with the paperwork on his season-long loan all but complete.

Murphy Sears/Pittman
Fraser Bru Bish/Williams?! McGoldrick/Maitland-Niles
Parr Berra Chambo Stearman?!
Bialkowski

Two more and we've a full house with pretty decent cover and youth in the wings pressing for a place, soaking up the experience of the regulars above.
Come on Mick, bit more magic - Stearman and Williams and you'll be getting a call from the Eurpean Central Bank for advice with this display of fiduciary acumen...
GTFI!

Welcome son, just what we need down the left tho would like a bit more height! Fraser played really well at PR last season, had two good chances to score which he missed but TC will put that right. Cant see Tabb getting too many games next season now, barring injuries.

Welcome Ryan, looking forward to seeing what you can do. Let's hope you look and play as good as Marc Overmars in that away kit!

I like that we have signed him because when we played the cherries at home he was a bloody annoying sh1t who gave our full backs a difficult time. Esp Chambo!!

Welcome Ryan, be a menace to every other team in the league, like you were to us!!
