London Branch Gauging Coach Interest Tuesday, 1st Sep 2015 19:36
The London Branch of the Supporters Club is considering putting on either a minibus or a coach to Town's third round Capital One Cup tie at Manchester United on Wednesday 23rd September.
Branch chairman, Horry Money, asks any Town fan who would be interested in taking a place to contact him at itfchorry@hotmail.com in order to gauge interest.

Fellow supporter from London. Sounds like a great idea! If I hadn't already booked my train ticket I'd go.

How about doing it for Reading away or even Birmingham at home? Thought not. #gloryhunters

Reading away is a 20 minute train from Paddington. Absolutely pointless organising a coach trip when a train is faster, easier and probably cheaper. Birmingham at home is one of many, many home games a lot of us attend and very much business as usual. Again, pointless organising a coach trip as many have regular train passes and use every fortnight. You could argue we could have perhaps organised a coach trip for Preston away or something, maybe, but August is a tricky one with many people still on holiday mode. September is a good start and hey ho, the chance to go to Old Trafford is a nice one. Cup games are best when its a new city you rarely get to visit due to being a different division - whether that's Bradford or York (lovely places) or Manchester

Any chance it can stop at Newport Pagnell services to collect me : )

London via Wales is probably a tough one. Again, we just need an idea of numbers for now, if there's LOADS of us it makes economical sense rather than trains. Plus, good fun

MaySixth - Glory hunters is an idiotic comment! Been a town fan all my life, just because i live in London now makes me no less of a fan and i still get to plenty of games. And i'm sure the same can be said for other town fans living in the city! Mills - good idea, would have been game but lacking in holiday left this year from work so no can do unfortunately!

Ha mills! I meant Newport Pagnell services on the M1! Just north of Milton Keynes! Not the aforementioned location in Wales!

If its possible to drop off the M1 to a service station for a flying pickup of me then id be very interested in paying to come with you guys!

May sixth - What a really poor post

D'oh! In terms of pick-up and dropoff, I think it's a bit too early to think of that. We need an idea of numbers and what companies are available first. Topline thoughts are we do pickup in Brent Cross - somewhere North London so we can hit the M1 asap.

Been a while since Ipswich Town supporters have been accused of being glory hunters. Things are clearly on the up.
