Connolly On as Sub as Ireland Win
Tuesday, 8th Sep 2015 18:00

Blues winger Dylan Connolly came on as an 85th minute sub as the Republic of Ireland U21s won 2-0 in Andorra this afternoon.

Ireland have now taken six points from their first two Euro 2017 qualifiers, both against the Andorrans, 20-year-old Connolly having scored the only goal when the teams met in Waterford in March.

Would like to see Dylan get more match time at club and country level.

We have Niles & Fraser as our first choice wingers, with Toure & Oar now as our back-up options presumably. Going to be hard for Connolly to get match time this season in the circumstances. Henshall & Stewart won't be a barrier to him anymore of course.
